2011 Platts Global Energy Awards

Welcome to the 13th annual Platts Global Energy Awards. Over the past 12 years our goal at Platts has been to honor and recognize those who have transcended the status quo in the name of leadership, innovation and performance. In 2011, we will continue that tradition. The 2011 Platts Global Energy Awards were announced on December 1, 2011 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York, NY.

We look for companies that have the potential for making a significant impact on the new energy economy by creating jobs and paving the way for the next best technological solutions. This year we recognized the finalists in two categories as Award of Excellence winners, Rising Star Award - Company and Sustainable Technology Innovation of the Year.

Platts continues to refine the Global Energy Awards to capture the industry's transformation. In 2011, we've added two new categories: Rising Star Award' Individual, which recognizes those less visible transformational leaders, and Petrochemical and Blendstock Innovation Award, which seeks to highlight the remarkable developments in this field. We have made some minor changes to existing categories as well. Green Energy Generator, formerly an initiative, will now exclusively evaluate the generation of clean energy, while Construction Project of the Year will henceforth include infrastructure projects.
