Engineering

Designed specifically to reward engineering excellence, this award is distinct from the Premier Project Award for Construction and will not normally be given to a construction project. Rather, it aims to highlight achievements in surmounting specific engineering challenges, whether in complex and difficult environments, in executing a precision task, or in solving specific engineering problems in new ways. In choosing a winner, judges will consider environmental factors as well as the technical breadth of project activity. Nominations should highlight a key project and demonstrate its impact and effectiveness, the innovative aspects of the engineering involved and the difficulties overcome in implementation.

Judges will consider any project completed after June 30, 2011, as well as projects scheduled for completion before December 31, 2012, provided the judges are satisfied by supporting materials that completion will occur on time.
